I’m an applied economist passionate about post-secondary education, with a particular focus on access for underrepresented groups. My current research explores how state funding impacts out-of-state enrollment, whether universities substitute international for domestic out-of-state students, and if exposing adult education students to post-secondary environments increases their enrollment likelihood. Moving forward, I aim to expand my work to include career-oriented education, examining how both higher education and technical colleges can better align with evolving labor market demands, especially given rapid technological advancements like AI. I’m keen to investigate how policies can reshape curricula and how educators should respond to prepare students for the future workforce.
